Ida Downs B&B

Ida Downs is a luxury B&B just 3km off the State Highway 73 Inland Scenic Route at Glenroy.

It is situated on 40 acres with fantastic rural views of rolling foothills and Mt Hutt.

Owners, Mike and Karen Meares previously ran a high country sheep station on the shores of Lake Coleridge, where they also hosted travelers.

They also established a very successful business offering a 6-day self-drive 4x4 journey from Canterbury to Central Otago. They have since sold this business, but continue to host 4x4 trips through the Lake Coleridge high country for interested guests.

Guests can also enjoy heritage trails, garden tours, golf, skiing, farm tours, jet boating and a multitude of walks in the Coleridge Basin. All activities are within 40 minutes of Ida Downs.

Mike and Karen enjoy sharing their rich and interesting life in the area and helping to create wonderful experiences and unique memories for you to take home.
